My love affair with the Mediterranean began as a child of the ’60’s on family holidays in Spain and Majorca. In my twenties, working as a holiday company representative and wholefood cook facilitated over a decade of working travel – in various parts of Greece and the Spanish islands.
Much later, scratching a growing creative itch, I found myself on a Foundation Course in Art & Design, swiftly followed by a degree in Textile Design at The Chelsea College of Art & Design. The next few years were spent as a freelance print designer in London producing designs for the international market. I also worked for five years with Cath Kidston in the early years of her business, creating her signature floral designs.
More recently, having a Greek base in the southern Peloponnese has allowed me to focus on and develop my own artwork. Nowadays I have one foot in my beloved Greece and one in my native England and enjoy teaching and exhibiting my art in Europe.
