Holiday Goat

The original of ‘Holiday Goat’ took part in a very exciting auction on International Animal Day – 4th October in Messini. In a nail biting series of live bids, she managed to raise €250 for the local animal charity.

It was a great evening, with live music, lots of speeches and a really nice buffet. Several of the artists who had donated art to the ‘Beastly Good Art’ fundraising calendar had some of their other artwork on display for viewing. The animal calendar has apparently done incredibly well and raised lots of money for the animals. Some of the cash raised at the auction went directly towards the costs of building much needed dog houses for the Kalamata shelter dogs for the coming winter.
