Kombi-Perulia-Vounaria-Nea Koroni-Homatero Walk

We enjoyed great walking weather today for our first outing after three weeks of wet-weather cancellations…

If you look closely you can just see a lone-bather at the far end of the beach!

The walking group merely rested a little, enjoyed the views and resisted the temptation to paddle, before setting off uphill to Vounaria…

After surveying the progress on the new hotel there, we made our way down to Nea Koroni – passing these chaps en route – and enjoyed an early lunch-stop at the kafeneon.

The sun was in and out of the clouds all day but there was plenty of sunshine as we strolled inland from Nea Koroni and made our way over to Homatero.

We passed these little cuties on the way….

and this girl thought we may have some food to spare….

Lovely blues…..

and a shock of mimosa outside Falanthi…

An unusual view of Falanthi from the track back to Kombi….

These pretty boys were keen to pose for the camera…

After a bit of an uphill climb, we were soon back on the flat, walking through these splendid olive groves just outside of Kombi.

A delightful walking day of around 12.7k (sorry the gps failed to co-operate, so no accurate figures today!) – appreciated all the more for the splendid weather.
