Zizani Walk

Leaving Zizani this morning under another bright blue sky, we headed first to Exochiko, taking a scenic break en route at the church of St. John the Baptist.

After quite a bit of downhill, and some seriously steep uphill, we arrived at Anatoliki Militsa – one of my favourite walk-stop kafeneons – in time for lunch.

The return track – with good views of Exochiko – took us via Vlaseika.

Where we were given sprigs of basil from a lady whose garden we were admiring…and asked in for a glass of wine…(we declined, as there were eleven of us, and we still had a few kilometres to go!)

The clouds were gathering as we approached the final leg of our walk…

It was 4pm when we finally returned to Zizani, and just starting to get  a tad chilly at the end of our 14.4 kilometre walk. Another beautiful walking day.
